Most employers focus on helping employees who have suffered stress-related ill health to return to work rather than tackling its causes, according to a survey by Personnel Today's sister publication Employment Review.
Nearly 13 million working days were lost to stress-related ill health in one year, at a cost estimated by the Health and Safety Executive to be £9.6bn every year.
This workshop is designed to help staff to manage the factors which cause stress, not only in the workplace, but in other areas of their life.,

1 Day Stress Management Workshop

At the end of each 1 x Day Workshop each delegate will be able to:

  • Identify stress both in themselves and in their colleagues
  • Identify and practice deep relaxation techniques
  • Practice NLP techniques to assist with problem solving in stressful situations
  • Understand the concept of EFT, and how using it helps to significantly reduce feelings of anger and frustration.

Programme

Coffee and Registration

During this time delegates are asked to complete a confidential questionnaire related to their personal experiences of stress

Introduction to Workshop & Stress Management

Delegates to introduce themselves to the group – followed by a short presentation:
‘What is Stress?’ and how it effects our health and wellbeing.

Guided Relaxation

Following an explanation of its use delegates are guided into a state of deep relaxation, followed by an interactive discussion of individual experiences (this exercise is useful before a designated break)

Problem solving through NLP

Delegates are given a demonstration of how to use NLP for problem solving in stressful situations, goal setting and How to Get There! (The delegates will be asked to break in smaller groups to explore and practice the concept)

Anger Management by using EFT

An explanation and demonstration of how EFT can significantly help to reduce anger and frustration

Open Forum

Delegates are encouraged to feed back to the group their individual learning experiences of the workshop
